Why do you have whiteheads ?

Whiteheads (scientifically called closed comedones) are collected sebum and dead skin cells which get covered by a thin layer of skin

They are mainly seen in people with oily skin.

These are seen as white bumps mainly on areas of high sebaceous gland presence like nose, forehead, eyebrows, chin, inside of ears

There can be multiple factors causing blackheads like:

  • External environment
  • Products applied on face
  • Smoking
  • Seasonal changes

Sometimes whiteheads are not visible to the naked eye but are only felt when your skin is stretched, which are called SUBMARINE comedones. These are difficult to treat but can be managed with the help of expert care.
